Ayesha Rekhi is Canada’s ambassador to the Czech Republic. During her long career as a diplomat, she has faced many situations in a wide range of countries when women were not respected in a way they should. Such experiences led her to lead by example and support other women in their careers in diplomacy.
Canada is a very good example; 50% of its ambassadors being women. Ayesha talked about the journey that preceeded this achievement, creating policies and convincing people to understand that diversity is very important.
