The international Conference Equal Pay Day, organised by the Business and Professional Women-BPW Czech Republic, is a major event attracting hundreds of participants from various sectors and providing the opportunity to share good practices on women’s entrepreneurship and equal opportunities in society, profession, and family. Under the theme “Opportunity”, the conference will include a plenary session and a number of mentoring panels in line with the idea of promoting the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, especially the promotion of “role models”.
Thanks to the CEI cooperation, which was initiated two years ago, several professional women from the CEI member countries have the opportunity to get involved in the conference and experience its mentoring and networking opportunities, but also carry out follow-up activities, such as the one promoted in 2023 in support of the Ukrainian women with the dissemination of “A manifesto of NGOs from the CEI region to collaborate on women empowerment in response to the impact of the war in Ukraine”, a kind of awareness raising campaign which was widely circulated.
