Men on Board

Equal Opportunities as a Shared Goal

Equal pay for men and women is not just a matter of fairness; it has become a critical issue for society as a whole. The "Men on Board" initiative, introduced at the Equal Pay Day conference, brings a new dimension to the discussion on equal opportunities – highlighting the importance of greater male involvement in this conversation.

Men in the audience are active participants who not only share their perspectives but also invite others to engage in open discussions on topics such as diversity and innovation, economic impact, social responsibility, and ESG—critical areas for the future of the workplace and society as a whole.

Diversity in the workplace is not just about fairness; it is a fundamental building block for innovation and creativity. Diverse teams are often the source of fresh ideas and perspectives that can lead to better outcomes and innovations. Studies show that companies with greater diversity often achieve stronger financial performance and amplify their economic impact.

I believe that promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace is not only a moral imperative but also a business advantage.

We need more women in leadership positions, not only in our corporate teams but also in Czech politics. Currently, only 13% of these positions are held by women. That is not enough.

Equal opportunities are a key component of corporate social responsibility. Companies that uphold the principles of equal opportunities are often perceived as more ethical and gain a better reputation among consumers, investors, and employees.

The Role of Men in Equal Opportunities

Men, who hold the majority of decision-making positions in companies, play a key role in driving change. Their active involvement in discussions and initiatives focused on fair pay can accelerate the process of transformation. Prominent male leaders who have embraced this challenge and support diversity and equal opportunities within their organizations are taking this issue even further. Men can be powerful allies on the path to fair pay. Their support and participation in discussions, not only at Equal Pay Day, are essential to creating a supportive work environment for everyone.

Our organization’s initiative, “Men on Board“, is about equal opportunities and building a stronger, more innovative, and sustainable society. It is time for men and women to work together to create an environment where everyone can reach their full POTENTIAL. This is our shared goal, to which Equal Pay Day and the “Men in the Audience” initiative significantly contribute.

I want to get involved
