STRETCH system for overall balance in life
I’m Zhanet Grigorova and since the last 13 years I’ve been working in the field of Marketing and Communication. My career path started in the National Opera and Ballet in Sofia (an incredible place and experience) and have continued in the corporate world where now I’m Marketing Communication Manager.
Why is our personal growth and balance also important to be better leaders?
In my opinion one of the main things when we talk about leadership is the possibility of talking freely about our previous mistakes and personal story. Many people don’t talk freely about their career failures, especially with their team or colleagues, but I believe that is one of the best ways to inspire people around you, give good examples and create strong connections with your team.
The other thing is self improvement and the ability to adapt ourselves and learn new skills. Probably many of us understand that, but also that is a challenge.
In my life I use the STRETCH system created by the Bulgarian business consultant and a trainer of different leaders Ivaylo Kunev.
The system is very simple and divide our life in the following main categories

We often talk about the concept of work-life balance, but in reality, it’s somewhat abstract. There is also not always a clear way to measure how well we are progressing in important areas of our lives and how this reflects on our ability to be successful in our work. In the topic I’ve chosen, we will specifically discuss the different steps for achieving work-life balance, how to set goals, measure progress, and how this helps us become more successful leaders.
